In our historic Downtown and dotted throughout the ‘Boro, you’ll find locally owned boutiques, specialty stores and antique markets. Drop in a trendy clothing shop, jeweler, bookstore or other tempting stops. And the national chains? You’ll find the best-known names in our mall and shopping centers.
Buckhead Plaza
Buckhead Plaza is home to the newest El Sombrero and many shopping opportunities, including R.J. Pope’s Men’s Clothing, Textures Hair Salon, The Flower Girl, Statesboro Karate, Farmers & Merchants Bank, The Herb Shop, and Luxury Nail Salon. Also, many places to stop and get a quick bite to eat.
Downtown Shops
The downtown area of Statesboro is made up of great shopping, art, and local business, making it a wonderful place to work and play. Be sure to check out the area on the First Friday of every month, when shops give special deals and the arts community gives a great show.
Market District
The Market District, located on Fair Road, is a great mix of retail, professional, and restaurants. The area features many branches of our local banks, half a dozen places to eat, and several specialty shops, including a day spa.
Southern Square
The Southern Square is a shopping area with over 186,000 square feet of space. It includes a K-Mart, Office Max, and other notable retail establishments. On top of that there are several restaurants, including Chick-Fil-A, Longhorn Steakhouse, Seasons of Japan, and others. Top it off with several other stores, a nail salon, Blockbuster Video, and clothing options.
Statesboro Mall
The Statesboro Mall is home to several large department stores, including JC Penny, Belk, Bealls, and a Bi-Lo. The mall is located on Northside Drive and offers several clothing shops, specialty stores, and a few dining options. The movie theater, Carmike Cinemas, is located just behind the mall with 12 theaters.
Statesboro Crossing
Statesboro Crossing features books, sports, hobbies, and food. It has several smaller specialty stores, and free-standing retail. Among its residents are Petco, Book-A-Million, Hobby Lobby, T.J. Maxx, and more.
The Woodlands
The Woodlands is located across from Georgia Southern University and is home to ice cream, a coffee shop, pool supplies, and locally owned businesses.
