It’s the most wonderful time of year; the annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair is in Statesboro this week! Complete with thrilling rides, food booths, livestock shows, music, and more, the fair promises fun for all ages. The fair attracts people from all over Statesboro as well as the surrounding region and is a perfect way to enjoy the autumn season.
“The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair is a long-time tradition in this area, offering great family entertainment, and a focus on the agricultural heritage that is so important to our region,” commented Kiwanis President David Beaubien. “ Thrill rides and midway games are just part of the activities available—livestock shows, a petting zoo, local entertainment, food booths, arts & crafts, student, and business exhibits, and so much more make the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair an attraction that has something for everyone. The end result of the fair, which is the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro’s largest annual fundraiser, is that many local charities are supported.”
The fair will be open until October 25th at midnight, so make sure you come out to the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds while you can! Today is Student’s Day, which means free admission for all school students as well as college students with their current school ID. Thursday will be Military Appreciation day, so active and retired Military and dependents will receive free admission. Wristband nights are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So come on out to the Kiwanis Ogeechee fair every night this week and make sure you don’t miss out on all the excitement!
